This blog set up and post took us all of about 30-40 mins.
This is a sample post while I learn how to use this new to me platform.
This is googles blogger platform, a free blog to anyone with a gmail account.
Go to www.blogger.com . If you are not logged into your google acct then you have to log in.
Create a blog, blog title, and a blog name (no spaces).
Pick a theme.
You can change the theme later and purchase a custom domain later too.
A domain is about $12./year and up depending on what suffix you choose.
Go here to search for a domain. Type in the name you want and and a drop down will occur showing you the ones that are available and cost of each.
To add paypal purchase buttons
- Go to Paypal select Tools at the top then All Tools from the drop down menu
- Scroll down to Paypal Logo Center
- Scroll down to Create an HTML Form
- First select type of button - drop down has buy it now or shopping cart and many other options
- And continue to fill out Steps 1, 2, and 3 of the form
- Then click 'create button'
Voila'
To embed this information into the page/post click on HTML upper left on the page I'm typing on (where you will be typing too). Currently I'm in Compose mode. Next to it is a button for HTML mode.
Simply click where you want the button to be and paste the code there.
Voila'
After making my first post there were several other themes to chose from.
